Opel Vivaro Van is a front-wheel drive van (aka “LCV” class), created for “delivery operations” and addressed primarily to small and medium-sized businesses ... It combines an attractive design, a large number of factory options and excellent technical and operational characteristics ...

The third incarnation of the "heel" was presented on January 23, 2019, and it again did not become an independent development of the German company - if its predecessors copied Renault Trafic vans, then the new generation car turned out to be the twin brother of such models as Peugeot Expert, Citroen Jumpy and Toyota ProAce.

The exterior of the Opel Vivaro Van is decorated in the same vein as the cargo-passenger Zafira Life, which makes the van looks nice, fresh and balanced, and it can only be recognized by unpainted bumpers (and even then - not in all modifications) and the missing glazing in the rear of the body (instead of it - deaf metal).

The "third" Vivaro Van is offered in several versions: its length is 4600-5300 mm, of which 2925-3275 mm is the center distance, the width does not exceed 1920 mm, and the height is 1940 mm.

The maximum car is capable of taking on board up to 1400 kg of cargo, and at the same time it can pull trailers weighing up to 2500 kg.

In the front, the interior of the all-metal van is borrowed practically unchanged from Zafira Life - a modern and attractive design, well-organized ergonomics and good workmanship.

For the Opel Vivaro Van, several design options have been announced - for example, in the "base", the "inhabited" decoration has a single-row layout with a comfortable driver's seat and a two-seater passenger sofa. But the "combi" version boasts a second row of seats, designed to accommodate three adult riders.

The useful volume of the cargo compartment of the German van varies from 4.6 to 6.6 cubic meters, and the folding front passenger seat allows you to transport long items from 3.32 to 4.02 meters, depending on the modification.

For the third generation Opel Vivaro Van, two BlueHDI four-cylinder diesel engines with in-line architecture, turbocharging, Common Rail technology, intercooler and 16-valve timing are offered:

  • By default, the van is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine, available in two levels of "pumping":
    • 95 horsepower at 3750 rpm and 210 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm;
    • 115 h.p. at 3500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm.
  • More productive versions relies on a 2.0-liter unit, also announced in several boost options:
    • 150 h.p. at 4000 rpm and 370 Nm of peak potential at 2000 rpm;
    • 177 h.p. at 3750 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.

Versions with a 95-horsepower engine are equipped with a 5-speed "mechanics", engines with a power of 115 and 150 hp. docked with a "manual" gearbox for six gears, and the 180-horsepower "four" works in tandem with a 6-band "automatic". The transmission is exclusively front-wheel drive.

In technical terms, the "third" Opel Vivaro Van completely and completely repeats Zafira Life - it is based on a front-wheel drive platform EMP2 with a transverse power plant, a monocoque body and independent suspensions at the front and rear (MacPherson struts and multi-link, respectively).

The car has rack and pinion steering with electric power assistance and disc brakes "in a circle" (ventilated on the front axle).

In Europe, orders for the third-generation Opel Vivaro Van will begin to be accepted in February 2019 (at the same time the configurations and prices will become known), but its sales will only start in June.

The van will also appear on the Russian market, and by the end of 2019, and its production for our country will be set up at the PCMA plant in Kaluga.
